Cleaned — 3 Items Need Attention

The system is clean to NFPA 96 limits. Three installation items need correction — see Findings on page 5.

Report Summary

Cleaning Pros Plus, LLC cleaned the full exhaust system, from the hood to the fan and rooftop area, and measured grease depth before and after with the depth gauge comb. The horizontal duct and fan blades read at the cleaning-required depth before service. Every location measured No Grease Build Up after service. Three installation items need correction: the missing fan hinge, the missing rooftop grease containment, and the missing clean-out port on the fan bowl. All accessible areas were cleaned, and the inaccessible areas have been documented.

Grease Depth Measurements

Readings against NFPA 96 §12.6.1.1, taken with the depth gauge comb at each location before and after cleaning. The fan bowl is measured against critical depth; every other location against the cleaning-required depth.

Findings

Items observed during service, with the correction for each. Each finding is high severity.

Finding 1 — Fan hinge missing

HIGH

Without a hinge the fan can’t be lifted safely, which blocks access for cleaning.

Recommended Correction

Install a hinge so the fan lifts safely for inspection and cleaning.

Finding 2 — Rooftop grease containment missing

HIGH

Grease on the roof damages the roofing and is costly to repair.

Recommended Correction

Install rooftop grease containment at the fan and clean the grease from the roof.

Finding 3 — Fan bowl clean-out port missing

HIGH

Without a port, grease builds up on the back of the fan blades where it can’t be reached, and it negatively impacts performance.

Recommended Correction

Install a clean-out port on the fan bowl so the back of the fan blades can be cleaned.
